What happened was Arizona St. was the play of the night getting 3 points against a brutal Ucla team. And then they dropped the Arizona spread down to 9.5 and that suckered everyone into taking Arizona -9.5 This night was a bust won on Butler -7 than lost on a shitty3 play by Arizona at the end.

BONO: It's not that I don't care about anything but baskets. Winning wagers are winning wagers. I used to track NHL picks when I 1st started here. But as I added more & more players to my Bball board, tracking NHL picks became much more difficult. I did it for 3 weeks, up until mid-Dec. I had you, Hornet, Jonny, Shole, JoeToaster, Mully64, BigLou, Firegreen - about 17-18 in all. But I missed a couple days and then I never caught up again. I do pay attention to your picks, and I have played your FB picks. You are good. I always look for them on weekends, although I don't keep records. I know NOTHING about NHL, but I'd bet it if I could track you guys. I did play 2 games one night from Mully64's picks, and won them - only half units each, but still. Last time I went to a Flyers game Clarkie was the center, not the GM. Now that I'm cutting way, way back on my NCAA capping, I might try to get back to an NHL board. Keep up the good work. Good luck!

TENNISSTUD: This is a bit of a delayed reaction, but after scrolling thru some old files to check my records, I came across a question you had asked me. I was kind of laying low then, as it was the day after Shep misunderstood my posts and cast me into eternal damnation in hell. (Actually, I'm way over that & liked reading Shep's posts. I hope he returns soon.) Anyway, you had asked if I remembered Kevin Saucier. Yes, vaguely. He pitched here in relief over 20 years ago, right around our World Series year in 1980. Not a real memorable player for me, but he did well in the post-season, if my faulty memory serves me correctly. Why, is that you? Sorry about the delay in the response.

MADT: Yes, I've been tracking you since Dec. Had 1 pick on the 9th, and then they came in steady from the 14th on. Now that I look back, from Dec 17th thru New Years Eve I see you had one of the all-time bad losing streaks. I feel bad now complaining about my cold streak after seeing that. 2-15!!! Whoa! Ronnielee,wow +1' utah st. with local book,+3 with computer site.You should track computer line's, look for line move's call your bookie to see if he adjusted his line's yet he will be behind the computer line's because they do not get the line's as fast from vegas.Intersesting theory,i have guy's in nyc who play this way they pass on the line's that do not move hit the one's with the 1' difference or more that the local book has not changed yet.

i dont know what kind of capping skills you people use but it seems hockey is a little easier to cap than other sports. in hockey, you get alot of value for your money, it seems every night there is a + ml that you can have a good chance with. if you look at my standings you can see my win /lost record isnt that great but my units are higher than my win/ loss record. also in hockey you have a good history of how teams play eachother. teams play 80 some games a year so you get a lot of match ups you can look at. and the 2 biggest factors that make hockey a little easier is hockey players play hard and the ref's dont seem to screw you. and finally since hockey isnt bet on as much as the other sports i feel theres less chance of something being "fixed" or vegas trying to trick you.
just my 2 cents, but its been a big money maker for me.

I generally don't like to build hype around picks, but there is a HUGE difference between my numbers and the line (RICE +1). These are the plays I look for.
This is the same situation as the St Joe's / Temple game Wednesday, my numbers came up St Joe's by 11 and the spread was St Joe's (-3 1/2), St Joe's won by 10.
