If game goes the way I think it will (how often does that happen?), Raiders 4th Q bet as good as it gets (regardless of line), as massive O line wears out Bucs, and Garner racks up huge chunks of yardage! And then, just when the Bucs are suckin' air, Rich hits Jerry over the middle and he goes the distance, and the rout will be on!

BTW, this is why I never allow myself to bet while I'm buzzed. I talk myself into believing what I write! Dope.

LOCO: Was not impressed with Bucs on Sunday. Was, however, mightily disappointed in the Birds. It was like Reid was keeping the offense in check the whole day. Some fans - unbelievably - ready to run Reid out of town. And where was the vaunted Eagles Defense? Very poor showing by the guys in green. Hats off to Bucs, but not all that impressed. Woodson is my ONLY worry. He looked bad in spots against McNair & Co., and could be burned all day by a good QB. Other than that, it's lights out IMO. Could get out of hand!

MY THANKS for the night. Today was a pretty good night for me. I decided to go with the stress free theme for the day, and I cut my $/unit in half. I did lose (4) 1/2 unit plays from the board, but I won all 5 of my full unit plays. Thanks Hoyas who said to "pound" Michigan. Thanks to Zman for "shouting" that 'Cuse could be the Play of the Week, and to pound it! (Based on that, still can't figure why he made Kentucky his POD). Thanks to Dubs for his 10* Cinci. And then Barney came along and made NO his POW, so I naturally followed that. And thanks to me for my POD TCU. I also added on a half unit on Bartindah's Arizone St. Thanks BT! Now, if I can only bring in my 1/2 unit play on my POD, GS. Thanks again, guys. Need this to be the start of somethin' good. Good night all!

Oakland gets the nod by most experienced SB players that have been here before.. and that is worth giving a fieldgoal up + 1 point. I made the line at Oakland -6 to 6 1/2. Also, take notice that Oakland are monsters when they come out the second half, whatever they do in the locker room at halfime, i don't know.. but they come out firing on all cylinders

Taking a smaller bet on the Over 43 1/2

Doesn't seem like a high number to me for a Super Bowl. They will both put up points and even if Tampa doesnt put up nearly as much, Gannon will.

REIDPIPE: It absolutley fits! That's exactly the way it is. Nothing is in sync. Either the timing is off, as in your case tonight, or you get unlucky in the game, or burnt late. Everything is wrong. On Sunday I knew!. It's not that I was in tune with the game. But I knew that I was in the kind of situation where I was down, losing and I was ready to bet big on a game I loved. But when I woke up Sunday morning, something in me recognized this situation, that I had been there before. I still bet 2 units on it - because I'm stubborn. A QUICK NOTE before I head back to work for a meeting. Hoyas mentioned yesterday how calm and unstressed his time off from betting made him. Zman sort of indicated the same thing. Last night, because of my coaching responsibilties, I had to leave before all of my personal gurus posted their plays for the night. I only played a half unit teaser, which I lost. The evening was so stress free, I couldn't help but notice it. No calling the score line every half hour for updates. No bullets of bad scores like last week when I left the gym. When I got home, I put a half unit play on the Nets b/c I thought it was on TV (it wasn't), and went to bed mid 4th Q w/o knowing the final. I think that was just what I needed. I'll try to get back in time to scope the board. See ya!

Aznmaster - At around game time (that's the key word) most every book had the Nets +7½ or 8. If you bet the Nets early you got toasted. I wouild have made the Nets a POD but 6½ was not enough for that game so I just took them with the books.

-I think Wisconsin wins this game but Iowa gets the backdoor cover. Iowa is high after their win over Illinois SU. Iowa will keep it close all game and wisconsin wins by 5 or 6.

Bowling Green +11.5

-Bowling is tops in the MAC West @ 5-1 and are 6-3 ATS on the road. W. Michigan is 2-3 in conference and 2-3 ATS in conference.

William & Mary -5

-While Hofstra did get Apodaca back off of suspension, They are still a pretty bad team. W&M is 4-1 ATS @ home and Hofstra is 2-4 ATS on the road and is 5-13 ATS on the road in the last 3 years. Hofstra gives up over 71 pts. on the road and avg. 56 (maybe 7 or 8 more with Apodaca).

Rhode Island -2.5

-Temple is all bad. all ATS: 1-9 as dog, 2-13 overall, 0-9 ON ROAD, 1-7 when playing team with winning record. R.I. is 3-0 ATS after conference game, only 3-3 @ home ATS but 9-4 overall ATS. I had line at -6 but I'll take it for sure at -2.5, oh and Temple is 1-8 on the road SU.

Al, Unfortunately this forum isn't my life (my haters would beg to differ) And IF I had to post College Basketball lines I wouldn't even be tracking the standings. The Standings are just so we the bettors can follow who is hot or who is cold and maybe bet with someone or bet by going against someone....Following a hot hand or fading a cold one can be profitable if you know how to do it right...I'm sure some have taken away a half pt here and there from where they either bet the game or saw the line. But, I doubt it makes a hell of a difference...you're either good or you're not. Cheating on a line won't make your record better or worse on the Standings. And it's impossible to post a line off by more than a pt and me not notice.
